The 12th Sahara International Film Festival will Feature Nora Cortiñas

27 de ABRIL, 2015

IMD
The Sahara International Film Festival announces its 12th edition, which will be held at the Dajla Camp — one of the refugee camps in Western Sahara, near the city of Tinduf — from April 28th to May 3rd. The focus of the festival will be Universal Justice.

Nora Cortiñas (President of Mothers of Plaza de Mayo) will be one of the guests of honor. She will take part in the screenings and in a roundtable discussion about impunity and the quest for truth and justice of the Sahrawi People, who are still searching for the people who went missing during the territorial dispute between Morocco and the Polisario Front, former representatives of the Sahrawi People until 1991.

The main purpose of this year’s festival is to convey to the international community that this conflict, which has remained unresolved for 40 years, cannot be ignored any longer.
