Call for submissions / An open invitation to participate in the 4th International Environmental Film Festival (FINCA) in Buenos Aires
28 de NOVIEMBRE, 2017
The
Instituto Multimedia DerHumALC (IMD) is pleased to announce to directors, producers and distributors that submissions for the
4th International Environmental Film Festival (FINCA) will now be open until
January 15, 2018. The Festival and competition will take place from
May 30 to June 6, 2018 in
Buenos Aires, Argentina. The final program will be released in
April 2018.
FINCA was born out of the need to widen cultural perspectives from a social commitment approach towards environmental issues using film as an awareness-raising tool.
With three successfully conducted editions under our belt, the dynamics of each encounter allows the audience to appreciate a wide variety of films on environmental issues and participate in shows, art exhibitions, discussions and debates with personalities from the film industry as well as social and environmental organizations.
Our inclusion of a variety of formats and genres, from short films to feature-length, documentaries to fiction, animations to reports, works from Argentina and from other countries, reflects the intention of the FINCA to overcome the prejudice that only professionals in the area get to discuss environmental matters.
