Audiovisual Tools Training Seminar for Afro-descendants ‘Roots from our land’

The Seminar, held from July 7th to July 13th, 2013, in Santiago del Estero, had the purpose of training young afro-descendants from different provinces, promoting the exchange of experiences and audiovisual productions, strengthening the artistic articulation and team work, in order to stimulate the creation of their own cultural contents in a social transformation process for ethnic inclusion and xenophobia eradication.

During the course of the Seminar, two short-fi lms, of two minutes each, have been made. The subjects were ‘Youth and participation’ and ‘Identity recognition’. Both were published on the Argentine Department of Culture web page and projected during the 15th Human Rights Film Festival, together with the seminar’s activities audiovisual register.

We have had the support of the Argentine Commission of Lands for Social Environment ‘Father Carlos Mugica’.
