In the northern Argentinian province of Salta we find Kajianteya. She is Nivat (authority) in a Wichi community. Through her words, we discover the tension between two realities. On the one hand, the world of discrimination, poverty, and exclusion of the Native peoples. On the other, the daily struggle for a decent life which respects the ancestral mandate of culture preservation, recovery of land rights, and care for nature.
