“Glacial Balance” is a journey along the spine of the Andes mountain range, from Colombia to Argentina, providing an insiders view into the lives of those who are first affected by the dwindling tropical glacier reserve, the canaries in the mine. Along the way, we are accompanied by scientists who give us a perspective on what is happening in the natural world and what we can expect. In this way we learn of the chain reaction that these disappearing glaciers have triggered an of the effects it is having on us and the rest of the world.
